What is API Management?
API Management is the secure and scalable gateway between your client applications and the backend services powering the ZEISS Machine Control ecosystem.
It acts as a single entry point for all API traffic - handling authentication, authorization, routing, and policy enforcement before a single request ever reaches a backend service.
APIs
The APIs section is your central catalog of all available operations. Each API groups a set of HTTP operations - documented with their method, route, parameters, request and response schemas. Every operation is described in full detail so you understand exactly what to send and what to expect back.
Use the built-in Try it console to send real authenticated requests directly from your browser - no external tooling required.
To use the test console, a valid Ocp-Apim-Subscription-Key is required in the request header.
Products
A Product is a curated bundle of one or more APIs offered to a specific audience. Products define the access boundary - which APIs are reachable and under what conditions.
A subscription to a product grants your application the credentials it needs to authenticate against the gateway. Depending on the product configuration, a subscription may be granted directly or require approval.
